The Discovery Statement of EFT is that “The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system.”

Energy flows through the body via channels called Meridians. To see a diagram of your complex meridian system click here. When energy is flowing smoothly and freely through the meridians we are positive and we Feel Good.  When there are disruptions or blockages in these electrical pathways we have limiting thoughts and negative emotions. We just feel bad.   Blockages and disruptions in our energy system cause discord in the physical body, which may lead to dis-ease.  Pain is the sign that there is something wrong with the energy flow in the body.
